Chapter History

You have to know where you’ve been to know where you are going. Kappa holds a special place in its heart for Fraternity history, but every chapter of our organization has unique beginnings of its own. Each plays a part in shaping us today. Read more about our chapters’ histories in Kappa's digital archives.

Today, there are approximately 140 Kappa Kappa Gamma chapters throughout the United States and Canada, with over 260,000 initiated members. Our chapter at Texas A&M University is called the Epsilon Rho Chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma. Kappa has a total Active and New Members of approximately 300 young women.

Every fall, Epsilon Rho is very excited to welcome a New Member class of around 80 girls to participate in the unforgettable Kappa Kappa Gamma experience at Texas A&M. New members begin to meet each other through new member activities and retreats where they become part of a great sisterhood. These girls will have the chance to learn to become a leader, participate in philanthropic events, and enjoy socials with their sisters.

The experience doesn’t end after four years. Kappa Kappa Gamma has great alumnae relations and they are very involved in many KKG chapters.
